Nature Lab - Birds of Prey

Join us for our STEAM-focused "Nature Lab" series in collaboration with Powhatan State Park and Family Learning Adventures! Stop by to explore the different books, games, and learning kits you can check out and take home with you to learn more about nature and the environment. In addition to browsing resources, there will also be an informal activity, exhibit, or presentation you can check out.

The theme for this week's Nature Lab is "Birds of Prey." In addition to a feather and claw exhibit, AWARE, the "Alliance of Wild Animal Rehabilitators & Educators" will be stopping by from 2:30-3:30 with live birds of prey you can meet up close... this is an opportunity you don't want to miss! If you'd like to meet Gabby the Great Horned Owl, Luna and Hershey the Barred Owls, Chloe the Eastern Screech Owl, or any of AWARE's other friends who are feeling fine and feathery the day of the event, make sure to swing by from 2:30 to 3:30 so you don't miss them!
