Nature Lab - Rocks, Minerals, and Gems, Oh My!

Join us for our STEAM-focused "Nature Lab" series in collaboration with Powhatan State Park and Family Learning Adventures! Stop by to explore the different books, games, and learning kits you can check out and take home with you to learn more about nature and the environment. In addition to browsing resources, there will also be an informal activity, exhibit, or presentation you can check out.

The theme for this week's Nature Lab is "Rocks, Minerals, and Gems, Oh My!" There will be four rock stations where you can learn all about the different qualities of rocks and minerals. You can even bring your own collection by to share with the group! Walk away with a handmade rock bracelet and a new appreciation for Virginia's geology.
