Think you can’t draw? Or that drawing is only for artists?
This two-hour, hands-on workshop offers a welcoming way to begin drawing from nature—no experience required.
You’ll learn how a simple line becomes a three-dimensional drawing, using pencil alone. Working directly from natural objects such as seeds, fungi, or plant forms, you’ll explore how observation, curiosity, and basic visual tools help you understand form, structure, and pattern.
The goal is not a perfect drawing. The goal is to learn how to begin—with a clear process you can repeat on your own. You’ll experiment with mark-making, line quality, and simple shapes, and see how artists have long used drawing as a way to study and connect with the natural world.
This class is ideal for beginners, gardeners, nature lovers, and anyone curious about keeping a sketchbook inspired by nature. You’ll leave with a practical framework for practice, and the confidence to give yourself permission to draw.
Each month features a new natural form. Come once, or return to build skill through repetition.
